Potty Training is NO FUN

I'm at my wit's end with the whole idea of potty training. Right now Kara acts like you are trying to remove a limb if you so much as suggest she should sit on the potty, let alone asking her to try and use it.

This weekend I finally decided to put together a prize basket. And with some input on her part also bought a different potty chair. Apparently she wanted one that was "bwue". So far this hasn't improved our success rate, but I'm hopeful that that will be changing soon. I'm so over changing pants!!!!

The most irratating part to me is I know she would probably rather use the potty because of the comfort factor, she is just too stubborn to see things any way but her own!

Aw! Look at how cute she is! Why are you worried about potty training? She has three years before she starts kindergarten! Hey remember Gus's famous saying..."I poop in the stool an make momma happy!" Hang in there!

The movie experience on Sunday brought back a lot of memories of taking you and your brothers anywhere. . . always be prepared because somebody is going to puke!

HAHA- it has to be HER idea to potty train Katie!! But the prize basket has worked wonders for everything from potty training to good behavior etc. The prizes have gone up in value (the dollar store used to be ok - now it's computer games, puzzles, a Dora purse etc.)

So far so good on this blogging thing!

Ahh the good times just keep a coming!!! She'll get it...the trick is making her think its her idea. When we trained Michael we had him peeing on semi tires..then we had to train him not to run outside everytime he had to pee..

Good luck!!!
Love ya!!

We are FINALLY getting there, so there *IS* a light at the end of the tunnel. We did good before and I thought we were well on our way, then total backtrack, Allison just kept peeing in her pants and I would say you have to tell mommy BEFORE you pee. Then something clicked and for about a week and a half she tells me before hand.

Are you using pull ups? I have better luck with just putting her in Gerber training pants with the extra cotton and dealing with the mess of accidents. She hates the feel after an accident with big girl pants so that's also a motivator lol.

We are past the prize box now for pottying but it was a great thing when we were at Kara's stage.

Don't worry, she'll be there soon. I swear one day it will just click, and you'll be so amazed. I also think preschool has helped a lot with our success. Your time is coming :)
