It's been an eternity!

I haven't posted or loggged on to this blog in forever and ever, but it might be time!

We are busy as we can possibly be with our 2 little ones. Kara will be starting kindergarten this year, and I'm no where near ready for her to be this grown up. Chloe will be 2 in November. She is talking WAY more than any kid her age should be, but I find that to be fun because I know what she wants and she doesn't have to throw a fit.

Here is a family picture from our last trip to Kansas City:

Been awhile

I haven't been real consistant at posting any news. Chalk that up to being a busy working mom I guess.

Everyone here is doing well, I guess. Kara has been sick on and off since the end of January, and we have spent the last several days fighting icky medicine into her. She ended up with bronchitis, so she has a nebulizer now for breathing treatments. At least those she likes because they gave her a cool mask to wear that reminds her of her papa's mask that he sleeps in. She is still enjoying preschool, even though she has missed quite a bit being sick! She sold enough fundraising stuff to win an "eye grow" so we are currently cultivating grass in my kitchen windowsill.

Chloe is now 4 months old. She sleeps through the night consistantly. Yahoo! So at least everyone here is well rested. She rolls over from tummy to back and from back to tummy. Since she as accomplished that she can occasionally be found napping on her side. A side sleeper just like mommy. LOL I was hoping we had managed to keep her from catching the crud that is going around, but she has developed a cough, so maybe we aren't so lucky after all...... At her 4 month appointment she weighed 14 lbs 3.5 oz and was 25 inches long. Her hair is starting to grow in a little and looks like it might just turn out to be a little red. I'm crossing my fingers that it is the same color as her Aunt Jessie's.

Blaine just got home from the national bowling tournament in Reno. I hated having him gone for so long, but I think he had a good time.

I've been back at work since the last week in January. It's funny how this time around I would be more than happy to just stay home. With Kara by the time my leave was up I was ready to go back, this time not so much. But we need to eat, and in order to that I need to work. So I will just continue to tough it out until we can win the lottery.

That's about all there is to know about us these days!

Christmas program

Kara was a sheep for the church Christmas program this year. She had a line and everything. She did a wonderful job at the practices, but when we got to church this morning she decided she didn't want to be a sheep after all. She told me "me no want to be a sheep, they can find that baby by themselves". Hopefully I can load the video for you and that line will make more sense. :)

Video upload doesn't seem to be working for me today, I'll have to try again later!

Kara's a Big Sister now

Chloe Mae was born on Nov 3rd at 928 am. She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20 1/2 in long. Kara ended up being thrilled to have a baby sister, even though for most of my pregnancy she was sure she needed a baby brother. I was somewhat surprised because my "mommy sense" had been saying boy the whole time. But as I said over and over during pregnancy, I just wanted a healthy baby.

Kara has been a great helper and fetches things for me for the baby all the time. She asks to hold the baby daily and wants to be right next to her all the time. The rest of us are adjusting to having a newborn again, and we are dealing ok with the sleep deprivation. LOL

My sweet baby has grown up into a beautiful little girl. I don't know how it happened. It seems like yesterday she looked like this.

First day of school

Kara started preschool at Erie this year. She really seems excited to be going to school, and wakes up EVERY morning raring to go. Someday I'll get her to understand the concept of weekends. We drop her off at school and she gets to ride the big bus home. She loves it! The whole first two weeks of school she insisted her daddy take her fishing before and after school. They are getting pretty lucky it seems!

End of summer fun

Kara has had a lot of fun this summer. Toward the end we had my friend from work bring over her two little ones to swim and see the critters and Grandma and Papa's. Kara and Derek have decided they will be getting married when they are grown up. LOL They are pretty funny together!

I also love this pic of Kara and Landen after a swim. They are having a snack of milk and animal crackers to rebuild their energy!
